Maria Isabela Galeria shared in her Instagram post that she tested positive for the C0’VID-19.
Supporters of Maria Isabela Galeria are now feeling very worried. Isabela is one of the Miss Universe Philippines candidates from Sorsogon.
In an Instagram post, the Miss Universe PH candidate confirmed the sad news.
“With so much sadness in my heart, I regret to inform you that I tested positive for COVID-19 rtPCR. This news breaks my heart deeply and I apologize if ever I put you at risk,” she wrote.
“We followed and did all the safety precautions to safeguard from the infection, however it still found us,” she added.
Isabela is a registered nurse based in Sorsogon, so one of her steps was to inform those she met about her C0’VID-19 status.
“I have spoken with those that I saw recently. My team, my MUP sisters and those I had close contact with in Manila all tested negative. I am in isolation and quarantined now,” she quipped.
Isabela also requested to those people she contracted with to immediately go to the nearest health center to control the spreading of the v!rus.
“I ask whoever came into close contact with me to please inform your City/Municipal Health Officers and their team to check on your condition. Hoping that I did not pass on to you the v!rus”
In the end, the Sorsogon-based beauty queen also apologized to those who were possibly infected because of her.
“I am truly, deeply sorry. Kindly find it in your hearts to include me and my family in your prayers”
This coming October 25, the first edition of Miss Universe Philippines will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Personal Protective Equipment is very crucial in infection control. It is essential to healthcare workers to help prevent the spread of the virus. Since this pandemic is currently affecting 175 countries, we don't have enough supplies of Personal Protective Equipment (compose of goggles, facemasks, hair cap, gloves, gowns and shoe covers) for our Frontliners. I'm calling for all my friends who know how to sew. Let's help our Frontliners by making protective gowns♥️ Thank you @cenhontomen for the pattern. She also has a video tutorial on how to make them. https://youtu.be/4pRKyEetChc #SorsoganonProtektado #healthcareaccess
Get well soonest, Ms. Isabela!
